For nearly a decade, we’ve been handcrafting custom lampshades with hundreds of one-of-a-kind shades now adding warmth and character to homes and interiors throughout New Zealand.

Founded by qualified interior designers with over 25 years of combined experience, The Lampshade Lab was born from a love of beautiful textiles and a deep understanding of how colour, pattern, and shape can transform a space.

 

Our background in interiors means we bring an expert eye to every piece we create — whether it’s a bespoke commission or a workshop project.

For the past several years, we’ve also been running hands-on workshops and demonstrations designed to share our skills with others. These sessions are more than just a craft class — they’re a chance to slow down, get creative, and walk away with something beautiful and practical that you made yourself. We provide the tools, materials, and know-how — you bring your fabric and your ideas.​
