For nearly a decade, we’ve been handcrafting custom lampshades with hundreds of one-of-a-kind shades now adding warmth and character to homes and interiors throughout New Zealand.

Founded by qualified interior designers, The Lampshade Lab was born from a love of beautiful textiles and a deep understanding of how colour, pattern, and shape can transform a space.

 

Our background in interiors means we bring an expert eye to every piece we create - whether it’s a bespoke commission or a workshop project.

For the past several years, we’ve also been running hands-on workshops and demonstrations designed to share our skills with others. These sessions are more than just a craft class - they’re a chance to slow down, get creative, and walk away with something beautiful and practical that you made yourself. We provide the tools, materials, and know-how, you bring your fabric and your ideas.​
